Wells Fargo lost my checks!!

Made a deposit on a Friday and didn't check my account until the next Tuesday when I needed to buy a few things for my business. When I checked my balance, my account was well below zero. This surprised me very much because I knew I was supposed to have enough money to cover my weekend expenses and have still have money left. So, I went to this branch and asked for an explanation but the person there didn't know what had happened. He looked for the transaction in the computer but couldn't find anything and told me that the person that worked that Friday had the day off. He even asked me if I could provide copy of the checks I had deposited. Because I didn't have a copy I had to bother my clients and ask them for one.

At the end, the teller was able to find the physical checks somewhere in their office and finalize the deposit. I still do not understand what exactly happen but having a bank misplace my checks is very unprofessional.
